TITLE: Data & Applications Administrator

REPORTS TO: IT Director

Position Overview and Mission:

This position is responsible for applying machine learning techniques to identify and transform company data into a workable product that will provide real-time value to end users. Maintain and support the daily functions of local and cloud-based applications, software, and productivity suites used by an organization. This is a hands-on position that requires excellent personal communication skills and the ability to work with many different types of individuals of varying skill levels and understanding. They must be persistent problem solvers capable of drawing from their knowledge in both traditional and creative ways.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and integrate a data storage endpoint to house all future data components.
  • Design a database for structuring data storage.
  • Identify, collect, and compartmentalize various company data into data storage endpoint.
  • Create front end links from database to Power Bi/Power Query/Third Party services.
  • Set up monitoring processes for maintaining smooth flow of data across network.
  • Document processes for training additional personnel.
  • Create initial reports for integration testing of database.
  • Collaborate with IT Team on integration of system to network and security services.
  • Manage all levels of system administration support for Microsoft 365 Productivity Suite.
  • Have experience in interacting with all levels of admin centers within the Microsoft 365 tenant.
  • Hands on experience in the daily functions of Dynamics 365 environments.
  • Work with functional and technical teams, as well as vendors, to design and develop modifications and extensions to Microsoft Dynamics.
  • Manage integration of base applications with other internal and external systems.
  • Work as primary in maintaining software licenses, user access and security roles.
  • Evaluate and test new applications; implement and document all practices and procedures.
  • Manage and coordinate with external vendors through to resolution raised on system issues.
  • Assist with administrative support on Microsoft Dynamics Business Central.
  • Create, maintain, and monitor user accounts to Active Directory and Azure hosted syncs.
  • Coordinate, manage, and track upgrade/update support for all applications used within the company.

Qualifications/Skills:

  • Technical expertise in Data Storage hardware, application design, and implementation.
  • Intermediate experience and working knowledge of Power Bi and Power Query functions in a D365 environment.
  • Design and troubleshooting knowledge in SQL databasing.
  • In depth expertise in D365 systems administration and configuration knowledge a plus.
  • Working knowledge of network functions in conjunction with local and cloud-based applications.
  • Working knowledge of dealing with cloud-based productivity suites and administrative centers.
  • Ability to research and understand technical information, an understanding of how to apply various technical resources to existing systems, and excellent critical thinking skills.
  • Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills with ability to adapt to changes quickly.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills, such as active listening, client-care, ability to communicate effectively and appropriately in emails and service tickets.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a fast-moving environment, with general supervision, and within a team.

Education:

Associates Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology; or 4+ or more years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

CompTIA A+; Server+; Cyber Security Certifications a plus

Physical Aspects of the Position:

Must be able to travel by privately owned vehicle to remote sites, potentially overnight.

Must have the stamina to work until the job is done with prolonged sitting, standing, and driving.

Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, and crawl under obstacles to make repairs.

Must be able to lift and maneuver 50lbs with or without reasonable accommodation.

Climb 8–15-foot ladders, maneuver in attics and crawl spaces, work on pitched roofs and under buildings.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
